Before planting Hosta Mix, it is advisable to soak the roots in water for 3-6 hours to promote establishment. Then plant the roots shallowly, about 1-2 cm deep, in well-drained, humus-rich soil. Although Hostas thrive best in shade or semi-shade, they can also tolerate some sun, especially in the morning.
