Planting galanthus bulbs
Snowdrops are one of the first spring bloomers, announcing the beginning of spring. Snowdrops are very popular as specimen plants and are often planted in parks, gardens and woodlands. The bulbs of these snowdrops should be planted in the autumn and grow well in grass, flower beds and borders. Snowdrops like a semi-shade location and moist soil, for example in woody areas. Do not plant the bulbs too deep, about 3 times the size of the bulb. Snowdrops naturalise well. Naturalising bulbs are low-maintenance; once planted they require no work and return annually.

Galanthus bulbs are available from August through December (up to January, while stocks last). Of course you can get busy with landscaping and beautifying your surroundings before the season starts. It is therefore possible to order flower bulbs online before the season begins, to ensure you get your preferred choice of galanthus bulbs. The galanthus bulbs are delivered at the right planting time! After you place your order, you will automatically receive an e-mail with an order confirmation. Different types of galanthus
We offer a wide range of galanthus. Such as, among others, galanthus angustifolius, galanthus elwesii and galanthus nivalis. To make your choice you can use the filter; for example choose the bulb size, flowering period, colour, group or height. Galanthus bulbs can be planted manually in the ground. But for mass planting you can also opt for machine planting.
History of the galanthus
Galanthus is found in the woody areas of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Many species of snowdrop flower in the wild. The name Galanthus comes from the Greek gála (milk) and anthos (flower), meaning milk-white flowers.
