Different types of triteleia
There are various types of triteleias, including triteleia hyacinthina, triteleia peduncularis and triteleia laxa, of which 'Queen Fabiola' is perhaps the best known. History of the triteleia
Triteleia is a genus of the aperge family. The triteleia species occur in the western United States and Canada, from British Columbia southwards to California. One species is found in northwestern Mexico. Triteleia has had two other names; first it was Brodiaea and then Milla. In Greek, triteleia stands for 'tri': three and 'teleios': perfect. The number 3 comes from the flower itself, as the flower has 3 sepals and 3 petals.
